New exclusive fashion line for full figured women

Scandinavian designer Joy Fonseca presents her new fashion line for plus size women.

The collection from FONSECA-cph gives women an opportunity to express themselves individually by offering a combination of classic styles and feminine silhouettes, which can be mixed accordingly to the individual, taste or occasion. The designs are all made with the special Scandinavian touch for simplicity and a flair for quality.

Danish fashion designer Joy Fonseca’s line appeals to the young woman, size 14-24, with an eye for quality and detail, and a wish for something classy. Unlike a lot of the clothes on the market today, FONSECA’s designs are all made specially for plus size women. As Joy Fonseca points out: “ A body obviously looks different in a size 6 compared with a size 24. Which is why it is essential that the design is fitted on a plus size model”.

The idea for the line came from Joy Fonseca’s own experiences and needs. “I too am a young woman who would like to lose weight, but want to look good and feel comfortable while I do it. I am tired of being hidden away because of my size. I am a designer and I love clothes. Full figured women need a proper selection of tasteful clothes designed specially for them, and I hope my new line can help to give them just that”, she explains.

Joy Fonseca

Joy Fonseca educated from the Danish school of design started in 2006 the label FONSECA-cph.

The design is based on natural, comfortable materials such as cotton, bamboo, silk and wool. The silhouettes are classical with a nod to urban style and are made to make women elegant and stylish in any size. The high quality is reflected in both the choice of fabrics as well as the attention to destail and craftsmanship in the manufacturing.
